Why LAFA Flag football?
In the late summer of 1958, Al Kelly had a great idea to try and help the kids of West Chester in the fundamentals of football. His main goal was to take youngsters from playing backyard football, with no equipment and no supervision and establish a supervised program for their benefit.
Now, almost sixty years later and with L.A.F.A. still going strong, Kelly’s dream has benefited thousands of children in our community.
No travel, every game and practice is held at either Lambert Fields
Or Al Kelly Stadium
The #1 reason kids play sports is to have fun!
LAFA Flag Football emphasizes fun and building friendships. Everyone should get to play and have fun regardless of ability level, so there are no try-outs and no one will ever be made to feel like they aren’t good enough to play.
No one joins the team to sit on the bench, so all kids of all sizes, athletic abilities, and experience get to participate equally in the action. You don’t have to be the biggest, fastest or most athletic player to play on a LAFA Flag Football team.
We make every effort to team up Kids from the same school so even more friendships can be developed. But sign up early because teams fill up fast!
LAFA Flag Football strives to be the best flag football program possible with the emphasis on skill development, participation, fun and teamwork.
We are committed to providing an exceptional experience to both player and parents so it’s an easy choice to keep returning season after season to take part in the fun.
